To participate in this Sweepstakes, you must agree to and abide by these Official Rules.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. You must have ACCESS TO THE Internet and a valid email address to participate.
- Sponsor: Entertainment Merchandise NY, Inc., a New York corporation, 4000 Warner Blvd. Burbank, CA 91522 (“Sponsor“).
- Administrator: Probability LLC, 2 Woodstock Meadows Ln, PO Box 1484, Woodstock, NY 12498 (“Administrator“).
- Eligibility: The “Harry Potter Shop Chicago Sweepstakes” (“Promotion”) is open only to persons who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are (a) 18 years of age or older;(b) live within seventy-five (75) miles of the Harry Potter Store located at 676 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611(“Shop”) (generally, parts of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin); (c) are registered members in good standing of the Harry Potter Fan Club; and (d) who received a Promotion email invitation directly from Sponsor or its agent. Only persons who meet all of the preceding criteria may be eligible for the Promotion. Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Sponsor, Administrator, any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Promotion, the Harry Potter Fan Club or the Shop, and/or their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or win a prize. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses, regardless of where they live. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year, whether related or not. In all cases, the preceding eligibility restrictions expressly apply even if such persons should inadvertently receive a Promotion email invitation directly from Sponsor or its agent. For the avoidance of doubt, Promotion email invitation is void if forwarded by original intended recipient to another person and the opportunity to participate in the Promotion is not transferable. Promotion is not open to members of the general public. Potential winners may be required to provide proof of U.S. residency, membership in the Harry Potter Fan Club (and/or proof of satisfaction of other eligibility criteria) upon request prior to prize award. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- Sweepstakes Entry: The Promotion begins on or about 11:00 am Central Time (“CT”) on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 and ends at 11:59:59 pm CT on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 (“Promotion Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official clock for this Promotion.
Click on the link included in the Harry Potter Fan Club email (i.e., Promotion email invitation) that takes you to the Promotion Website (“Website”) and complete and submit the entry form with the following information: your full name and email address to enter the Promotion (“Entry”).

IF YOU DO NOT CHECK THE BOX INDICATING YOUR AGREEMENT TO THE ABOVE, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED IN THE SWEEPSTAKES AND CANNOT WIN A PRIZE. Then click the “Submit” button to submit your entry. All entries must be received by April 2, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM CT. Normal internet access and usage charges imposed by your internet service provider will apply. It is your sole responsibility to notify the Sponsor of a change in your e-mail address.
During the entry process, you may be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails and reminder e-mails from Sponsor. Consenting to receive promotional e-mails and reminder e-mails is optional and does not have to be agreed upon in order to be eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes and does not improve your chances of winning a prize. In the event you do consent to receive these e-mails, the use of such e-mails shall be subject to the privacy policy of Sponsor (HTTPS://WWW.WBDPRIVACY.COM/POLICYCENTER/B2C/) and you may opt out of receiving these e-mails at any time.
This Sweepstakes is administered on behalf of Sponsor by Administrator. Administrator will use the information you provide in connection with this Sweepstakes solely for the purpose of administering this Sweepstakes and under no circumstance will Administrator use said information for any other purpose.
Limit one (1) entry per person during the Promotion Period. Multiple entries and/or mass entry attempts will result in disqualification of all entries by such person. Entries must be manually key-stroked by the entrant; use of automated entry devices or programs, or entries by third parties are prohibited. Entries that do not conform to or that violate these Official Rules or are submitted in any manner other than stated in these Official Rules will be disqualified. Proof of submission of entry does not constitute proof of receipt of same. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator and Sponsor, which are binding and final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.

Other charges may apply (such as normal airtime and carrier charges as well as charges for wireless Internet access) and may appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid account balance. Once submitted, Entry becomes the sole property of Sponsor, cannot be modified by Entrant. Participation must be effected in accordance with these Official Rules. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the Promotion (in whole or in part) is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failures beyond Sponsor’s control that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or disqualify any individual, whether or not the individual is a participant in the Promotion who tampers with (or attempts to tamper with) the entry process/operation of the Promotion (or any part thereof). In such event, Sponsor shall conduct the Promotion and award the prizes in the Sweepstakes by means of a random drawing comprised of all eligible entries received/recorded prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor or otherwise make the prizes available to be won in a manner which is fair, appropriate and consistent with the spirit of these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Notice of cancellation/termination/modification/suspension of Promotion will be posted on the Website. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received or recorded, as applicable (or for any e-mail regarding participation in the Promotion to be delivered whether due to e-mail filter or other cause) on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this Promotion.
Entrants further agree not to knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Promotion and/or prevent others from participating in the Promotion. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY ONLINE SERVICE OR WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION VIOLATES CRIMINAL OR CIVIL LAWS. IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE OR AN INDIVIDUAL OTHERWISE ATTEMPTS TO DEFRAUD SPONSOR, SPONSOR MAY DISQUALIFY ANY ENTRANT MAKING SUCH ATTEMPT, TERMINATE SUCH INDIVIDUAL’S MEMBERSHIP IN THE HARRY POTTER FAN CLUB AND SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
- Random Drawing: Potential prize winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about the Thursday April 3, 2025 from among all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Drawing will be conducted by Probability LLC, an independent judging organization/Administrator whose decisions are final and binding on all matters related to the Sweepstakes.
- Sweepstakes Prizes and Odds:
Prizes (25 winners): each winner will receive two (2) passes (wrist bands) good for exclusive early access to the Grand Opening of the Shop between 9 am – 10 am CT on April 10, 2025. For clarity, the prize consists solely of early access to the Shop and does not include a gift card, shopping spree or cash. The prize has no retail value.
Winner must be available to visit the Shop on April 10, 2025 between 9 am – 10 am CT; if winner is not able to do so for any reason, prize will be forfeited in its entirety without liability of any kind and an alternate winner may be selected, time permitting.
If winner is available to visit the Shop on April 10, 2025 between 9 am – 10 am CT, but Sponsor is unable to offer early access to the Shop on that date/time for any reason – whether or not within Sponsor’s control – Sponsor’s liability will be limited to award of early access to the Shop on another date/time of Sponsor’s sole choosing (and, in such case, Sponsor will attempt to provide reasonable notice in advance of the revised date/time for early access to the Shop.)
Guest must be at least 8 years of age. If guest is under 16 years of age, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian who must be the winner.
Winner and guest must provide valid government-issued photo identification at designated location near Shop on April 10, 2025, 8 am – 8:45 am CT, in order to receive pass/wrist band and thereafter attend the early access event at the Shop. If winner/guest cannot provide valid government-issued photo identification or if Sponsor’s representative determines that such materials are incomplete, inadequate or otherwise unacceptable, winner and/or guest will not receive a pass/wrist band and will be denied admission to the early access event and Sponsor and Administrator shall not have any liability of any kind.
After 8:45 am CT, passes/wrist bands will no longer be issued at designated location. If winner and/or guest fails to timely collect pass/wrist band, they will be denied admission to the early access event and Sponsor and Administrator shall not have any liability of any kind.
Sponsor further reserves the right to prohibit admission to the early access event should winner and/or guest not visit the Shop by 9:30 am CT. If winner and/or guest fails to timely visit the Shop (regardless of whether they have a pass/wrist band), they will be denied admission to the early access event and Sponsor and Administrator shall not have any liability of any kind.
Winner and guest must follow all requirements and instructions of Sponsor relative to attending the early access event at the Shop; such requirements/instructions may include (a) wearing appropriate attire and (b) complying with restrictions on recording/streaming the early access event. Should winner and/or guest fail to adhere to such instructions or engage in unruly, obnoxious, anti-social or otherwise inappropriate behavior (as determined by Sponsor and/or Administrator, in their sole discretion), Sponsor will, perhaps without further notice or warning, eject winner and/or guest from the early access event and/or take other actions as Sponsor deems appropriate in its sole discretion so as to protect its rights (which may include termination of membership in the Harry Potter Fan Club), without liability or other obligation to winner and/or guest. If behavior of winner and/or guest is deemed to be particularly offensive or egregious by Sponsor, Sponsor may pursue legal sanctions against winner and/or guest (as applicable).
Winner and guest understand and agree that, should talent or celebrities be present at the early access event, talent/celebrities may (or may not) in their sole discretion choose to autograph items or pose for photos/videos (“selfies”) with winner and guest.
All costs and expenses relative to acceptance/use of prize not specified herein are not included and are solely the winner’s responsibility. Without limitation, winner and guest are solely responsible for making all travel arrangements to visit early access event at the Shop.
If winner visits the early access event at the Shop without a guest, he/she will receive only one (1) pass and no alternate prize will be awarded. If passes to the early access event at the Shop are unused for any reason, no substitute prize or compensation will be awarded.
No substitution or transfer of prize except with Sponsor’s permission (which may be granted or withheld for any reason). No more than one prize per person. Odds of winning a prize depend on total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
- Winner Notification: Potential winners will be notified by e-mail. In order to remain eligible, potential prize winners may need to sign and return within three (3) business days, a Declaration of Eligibility, Release and Indemnification, a Publicity Release where allowed by law, as well as other documents that Sponsor may require. If potential prize winner does not reply to such notification and return the required documents within the indicated time period (if applicable) and/or if the e-mail notification is returned as undeliverable after two (2) attempts, such winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries received during the Promotion Period (time permitting).
- Conditions and Limitations of Liability: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and Administrator, which shall be final and binding in all respects. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Administrator, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Promotion and/or acceptance or use of prize. By entering, entrants also authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, photograph, prize information, biographical data and city and state of residence in programming, advertising, trade and/or promotional material or on a winners’ list (if applicable) without compensation or notice, to the extent permitted by law. (For winners, the preceding includes but is not limited to any recordation, streaming or broadcast of their attendance at the early access event by Sponsor or its representative, without further notice of any kind.) Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation. Force Majeure: The failure of the Released Parties to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of the Released Parties (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations) or other force majeure event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.
- Disputes: The parties each agree to finally settle all disputes only through arbitration; provided, however, the Released Parties shall be entitled to seek injunctive or equitable relief in the state and federal courts in New York, New York, and any other court with jurisdiction over the parties. In arbitration, there is no judge or jury and review is limited. The arbitrator’s decision and award is final and binding, with limited exceptions, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction. The parties agree that, except as set forth above, any claim, suit, action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes or the awarding prizes shall be resolved solely by binding arbitration before a sole arbitrator under the Streamlined Arbitration Rules & Procedures of JAMS Inc. (“JAMS”) or any successor to JAMS. In the event JAMS is unwilling or unable to set a hearing date within fourteen (14) days of the filing of a “Demand for Arbitration”, then either party can elect to have the arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) or any other mutually agreeable arbitration administration service. If an in-person hearing is required, then it will take place in Chicago, IL; provided, however, if this location is not convenient for the hearing, the parties may mutually agree on an alternative location. The federal or state law that applies to these Official Rules will also apply during the arbitration. Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis and will not be consolidated with any other proceedings that involve any claims or controversy of another party, including any class actions; provided, however, if for any reason any court or arbitrator holds that this restriction is unconscionable or unenforceable, then the agreement to arbitrate doesn’t apply and the dispute must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in New York, New York. Sponsor agrees to pay the administrative and arbitrator’s fees in order to conduct the arbitration (but specifically excluding any travel or other costs of Entrant to attend the arbitration hearing). Either party may, notwithstanding this provision, bring qualifying claims in small claims court. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each Entrant waives any right to seek to enjoin or restrain the operation or exploitation of this Sweepstakes, the Shop, any advertising or other materials issued in connection with the Sweepstakes or the Shop, or any other Released Party property.
- Privacy Policy/Data Collection: All personal information provided by you for this Sweepstakes is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy located at HTTPS://WWW.WBDPRIVACY.COM/POLICYCENTER/B2C/ (“Privacy Policy“).
- Winners’ List: For the names of winners, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “Harry Potter Shop Chicago Sweepstakes Winners,” c/o Probability, PO Box 1559, Social Circle, GA 30025-1559. All such requests must be received by May 2, 2025.
